Editorial policy
- Primary sources. Every rule is checked against the current HMRC notice and linked to it. Our main source is VAT Notice 700/1.
- Dated reviews. Each page shows when it was last reviewed. We review every page at least quarterly and whenever HMRC updates its guidance.
- Signed off by an accountant. No page is published until Peter has reviewed it.
- Experience, labelled. Where we describe what we see in our own cases, such as HMRC turnaround times, we say so and date it.
- Corrections. If you spot an error, email hello@citysolution.co.uk. We fix it and record the change in the updates log.

What we don’t do
We are not a law firm, not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority, and don’t give home-country tax advice. Where you need those, we introduce a regulated specialist.

If something goes wrong, email hello@citysolution.co.uk with “Complaint” in the subject line. We acknowledge within two UK working days and respond in full within 15. If you remain dissatisfied, you can refer the matter to the AAT.
